when you become aware
that there are things
greater than yourself
i think it's only natural
to become a little alarmed
and overreact

now, you have to realize
that for everything
there is something
bigger than itself
and i think most of the problem
in the New Fade
is that everyone really is
being forced to confront this
and it's an entirely uncomfortable proposition
for those unaccustomed to
repudiation

awareness is a double-edged sword
even when it's an act of imagination
so that rejection goes hand-in-hand
with acceptance

awareness creates chaos
as much as it reveals
harmony
